Christmas Card and Christmas Program

The first picture was the one we used for our Christmas Card. I was fortunate to get this really great one of both of them with only 2 tries.

The next pictures are from the Children's Christmas Program at churh. The Tiny Tones (3 & 4 year olds) got to be the animals that came to Bethlehem to see Jesus. They were told they could be any animal they wanted and not to feel like they were limited to the traditional donkeys, sheep, cows, etc. So that is why we had a black cat, dinasour, duck, etc. They were precious. They sang 3 songs with the older children and did wonderfully!

Mimi's Birthday

Last night we went to El Ranchito to celebrate Mimi's birthday.

Tiny Tones debut in Church

Yesterday was Alexa Kate's first time to sing in church. The 3 and 4 year old choir sang 3 songs and she did the best job! We were so proud of her!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We did the annual pumpkin patch hayride last week with our church friends. It was great weather and the kids loved finding our 4 pumpkins!

Hunter's Birthday

Hunter had a birthday at the end of September so all the Ainsworths got together for dinner and cake to celebrate!

Grandaddy's Birthday

Grandaddy turned 85 on October 11th so we headed back to Meridian to celebrate.

Geyser Falls

The church took a group to Geyser Falls last Thursday so Lucy and Mary Gaston came and got Emily, Maddox, Alexa Kate and I and headed to Philadelphia. The kids had so much fun, the weather was great and the kids were worn out! We definitely have to do it again!

Milly and Sanders

The Blairs came over for some play time this weekend and Milly and Sanders had their first little meeting. Yesterday Sanders and AK spent the afternoon in the backyard blow up pool. Sanders won the splashing war!

Partying with the Neighbors

We are loving our new neighbors, Stephen, Emily, and Maddox Greer! Alexa Kate and Maddox are enjoying playing outside together as much as we will let them. Thanks Maddox for teaching AK to ride her jeep!

4th of July Party at the Thomas'

Tish and JT had lots of us Cypress Lakers over for a 4th of July party. The kids had a ball and Sanders found himself the center of the older girls' attention.

Beach 2008!!!

We spent a wonderful week in Seagrove with Gran, Uncle Braxton and Courtney. We even got to see Meemaw for a few days while in Florida! The weather was perfect and the kids really loved the ocean! Uncle Bob and Aunt Linda invited us over one afternoon and we spent some time catching up with them and envying their year round Seaside life!

G&G's 60th Wedding Anniversary

Granny & Grandaddy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 5th at Mary Mahoney's in Biloxi. We didn't get to make the trip but Lily and G&G came back through Jackson to visit with us. We had our own little celebration with take out from Shapleys and a wonderful cake!

Alexa Kate's 3rd Birthday

Alexa Kate turned 3 yesterday! We began the day with a birthday party at Differnt Strokes with several of her buddies. They painted flower pots and ate pizza and cake. We had a big crowd and everyone had the most fun!

After we convinced AK to take a nap, we quickly got ready for a 2nd birthday party for family and neighborhood friends. We had a Disney Princess Jumpy and everyone gathered in the back yard for more celebrating!

Mike's 40th Birthday

Mike turned 40 on April 9th so he was surprised to find a gathering of friends at the Halls' house on Saturday, April 12th!

Easter Sunday

Everyone was happy on Easter morning to see that "the rabbit" had been to our house to drop off happies in our Easter baskets. Sanders liked playing with his basket as much as anything inside of it. Alexa Kate got makeup and some fancy purple dress up shoes that she loves!

The Easter service at church was wonderful as usual but we failed to take any pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes! Thanks to Jenny Woodruff for taking the Easter pictures a few weeks ago so that I will have a photo of those sweet outfits!

We had a surprise visit from Lily, GG & Grandaddy late that afternoon which meant more egg hiding!

Weekend in Meridian

Mike went to Atlanta this weekend for the SEC basketball tournament so we packed up and headed to Meridian. We dyed Easter eggs at Lily's house and ate spaghetti at GG's house and then spent Sunday at Gan Gan's visiting with Gran, Uncle Braxton & Courtney!

Easter Egg Hunt

The church had an Easter Egg Hunt Sunday afternoon. Alexa Kate found plenty of eggs for Sanders and herself. She was excited about seeing the bunny until he came out. Sanders didn't mind sitting in his lap at all!

Birthdays at Nagoya

Saturday night, all of the Ainsworths gathered for a birthday dinner honoring our 3 March birthdays - Ronnie, Craig & Elliott. It was very entertaining and Alexa Kate actually ate the shrimp she ordered!

Flashback to High School

Friday night we went to the Madison/Ridgeland Junior Auxillary's Dance. The theme was flashback to High School and Mike thought it would be fun to go as a football player and a cheerleader. So fortunately my friend Kim's husband who is the JA football coach let Mike borrow a Raiders uniform. He looked great and was the only football player there in full pads! I sucked it up (literally) and wore a cheerleading uniform and even had Mike's real letter jacket from high school.

Pump It Up Birthday Party

Alexa Kate went to Emily Buchanan's birthday party this past Saturday at Pump It Up. She had the best time playing in all of the blowup bouncy things especially the one with the basketballs and the goals. She only stole the basketball from Nate once (Poor baby - he is only a year old)! Thanks to Nicole for sending me some pictures that she took of Alexa Kate.

Sanders Baptism

Sanders Baptism

Sanders was baptized Sunday at Parkway Hills. All of our family came to the church to celebrate this special day with us and then came to our house for lunch and cake. Jenny took pictures for me so I will post some of those when we get them back.

For now, Mike did catch a couple of the kids before they got dressed with their great-grandparents GG and Grandaddy.

MSU v Alabama

Football fans gathered at our house last weekend for the MSU Alabama game. I dressed my poor children in maroon and white and let them support their Daddy's favorite team...

Sanders seemed to get a kick out of it.

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat in Cypress Lake was a blast this year. We started out on our cul-de-sac with supper at the Lesters and then headed off in the golf carts to the rest of the neighborhood. We found the Ashton Grove hayride in Hawthorn Vale and caught a ride with them until Daddy and Mr. Kenny caught up to us. We were so busy that we didn't take many pictures but we loved seeing our friend Will Triplett (AKA Batman) in Hawthorn Vale. Thanks to Mrs. Stacey for keeping Sanders while we trick or treated!

Parkway Hills Fall Festival

Sunday afternoon was the fall festival at church. Spiderman made her 3rd appearance of the weekend and Sanders wore his pumpkin costume. It was a perfect day and we all had the best time! Pearce dressed as Alexa Kate's spider and Cate and Cole were Woody and Jessie! Thanks to Mrs. Stacey and Mrs. Renee for getting in the moon jump with Alexa Kate!

Halloween Neighborhood Party

Saturday night was the annual Cypress Lake Halloween block party. There was an 80s theme this year for adults and Mike went as Jon Bon Jovi and I went as Cyndi Lauper. Mike actually won the costume contest and was crowned King of the Party. He put on a real show and Alexa Kate and I had the best time watching him work the crowd! Sanders stayed at home this year but Alexa Kate partied with the best of them as Spiderman! Some of our favorite costumes were Richard Simmons, Mr. T, Uncle Jesse & Daisy Duke, and Al & Peg Bundy!

Jaci's Birthday Party

Jaci had her 4th Birthday Party today. Alexa Kate and Sanders wore their Halloween costumes and painted pumpkins, made necklaces, and rode on the hay ride. We headed home shortly after lunch to take a nap so we would be ready for the BIG neighborhood Halloween party tonight... more Spiderman and Pumpkin pictures to come!

Zoo Day!

Lily came to Jackson to go with Alexa Kate and I to the zoo. We had a special "Sanders Free" outing with Lily and Alexa Kate loved it.

Cowards Come to Mississippi

Paige, Emily, & Reid came to Vicksburg to visit their grandparents so Alexa Kate, Sanders and I drove over for a quick visit. We miss you guys so much and enjoyed seeing you! Tell Pat we missed him!

Visit from MeeMaw

MeeMaw came to visit us about a week ago. I only caught one cute picture of her and AK but she had plenty of Sanders cuddles while she was here.

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Alexa Kate and I picked up Pearce, Mae Alex, & Mrs. Leslie and headed to the Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch to meet our other friends from church this afternoon. Everyone had a big time sweating on the hay ride and picking our pumpkins!

Cortland Cove Football Party

Our neighbors came over last Saturday to watch some football. The girls decided to dress up and make their appearance so when they came over they dressed up Alexa Kate as well. We also met baby Cade for the first time. He was born in June which means Sanders has a neighbor his age!

Sanders is doing so well! He is eating and sleeping a lot and actually beginning to understand that we like to do most of our sleeping at night! Alexa Kate loves to kiss Sanders on his head and tell him to "Wake Up!" We are enjoying being home and having Lily here helping us live!

Baby Sanders Arrives!

Sanders Aaron Ainsworth was born Friday, August 10th, 2007 at 7:51 am. He weighed 9 pounds even and was 20 3/4 inches long. We came home today (Sunday) about 11:00 am. Sanders and Mom are doing great!

Pearce's Birthday Party

Pearce had his "P" party at Yellow Dog Books tonight. We wore our pajamas, ate petit fours on pewter dishes on the porch, and got party favors out of a picnic basket. Great party - AK loved it!

Leah Lester's Build A Bear Birthday Party

We went to a birthday today at Build A Bear in the mall for our neighbor Leah. Alexa Kate chose to build a pink kitty for her stuffed animal. She had the best time and her favorite part was brushing the kitty and putting it under the dryer. Mom thought it was extremely hot in the mall so she sat on the floor most of the time... It can't be long now for Sanders to come...

Update from Doctor's Appt

I went to the doctor this morning for my last appointment before Sanders arrives. My blood pressure was good and I had not dilated so Dr. Brantley told me she would see me bright and early next Friday for the C-Section. Mike and I have to be at River Oaks Baby Suites at 5:30 am and she said they would roll be back between 7:15 and 7:30 and we should have Sanders by 8:00 am!
We are looking forward to next week. Please keep us in your prayers!

AK's Band-aids

Alexa Kate got some Hello Kitty Band-aids at Walmart on Saturday so after school today, she found that she had tons of Bo-Bos all over so we had to doctor her up! She even put one on my belly for Sanders (I spared everyone a photo of that sight!)

Peacocks!

Saturday Morning we awoke to some old friends of ours roaming in our backyard. At our old house in Cypress Lake, we had a peacock farm living behind us. We have lived in our new house for over a year now and the peacocks must have finally found us!
